Berwang is a small resort, situated near the cross country ski track at an elevation of 1336 meters and with 640 inhabitants. The sunny, high location between the Zugspitze and the Lechtal is simply enchanting. But the child-friendly Berwang has got even more to offer: snow security, slopes on one’s doorstep, cross-country trails and beautiful hiking trails through an unforgettable winter land. Berwang is particularly suited for families. Winter sport freaks of all ages and levels meet in this beautiful sunny spot high up in the Alps. There are fourteen lifts and a total length of forty kilometers slopes, covering all difficulty levels.

Berwang Skiing Holidays

The Austrian ski resort of Berwang is part of the Zugspitz Arena Skiing Area and has access to thirty individual ski runs. In addition to the snowsports in village of Berwang itself which has forty kilometers of prepared slopes, with the appropriate pass one can ride and in the other Zugspitz winter resorts of Ehrwald and Lermoos.
The resort of Berwang has twelve snow cannons for artificial snow cover and fourteen lifts with capacity 20000 skiers / snowboarders per hour.
In addition to the downhill skiing and snowboarding, the village provides with twenty kilometers of cross country trails, an illuminated toboggan run and ice-skating.

Berwang Transportation

The nearest airports to the village of Bergwang are these in Innsbruck (approximately 80 km) and Munich (approximately 170 km).
By car one can get to Berwang via Ulm-Kempten-Reutte B179 (B314)- Bichlbach - Bergwang; via Munich – Garmisch – Ehrwald – Bichlbach – Bergwang or via Innsbruck-Nassereith B179 (B314)- Fernpass through Lermooser Tunnel – Bichlbach to Bergwang.
