DURNSTEIN - TRANSPORTATION

Durnstein is on eighty kilometers west of Vienna. If you are driving, take Route 3 west. From Krems, continue driving west along Route 3 for eight kilometers. Train travel to Durnstein from Vienna requires a transfer in Krems . In Krems, trains depart approximately on every two hours on river-running routes; it's a six kilometers trip to Dürnstein. There's also bus service between Krems and Dürnstein (the trip takes around twenty minutes).
