MUTTERS - HOTELS & TOURIST INFORMATION

Mutters (~2200 population), is situated at 830 meters altitude and is known as one of the most beautiful mountain villages in the Austrian province of Tirol.
Mutters is preferred for family holidays and short weekend trips, because of its proximity to the capital of Innsbruck, unspoiled nature traditional farmhouses, beautiful meadows and shady forests. The resort was twice awarded for its charming village-centre. The tourist facilities include a mountain lift, many hiking paths, mountain huts a tram through the beautiful nature to Innsbruck. Mutters has some very good hotels and restaurants, as well as private accommodation options.
The Innsbruck Almenweg is a great hiking trail from the Muttereralm (1608 meters) to Raitiser Alm (1553 meters) and Kreither Alm (1608 meters) all the way to Stubaital and is very popular among the active tourists. To the west, the path goes to Gotzner Alm (1542 meters), Birgitzer Alm (1808 meters) and Kemater Alm (1673 meters).
Mutters Skiing Holidays
Mutters skiing area was equipped with a new quad chair lift and gondola. There is a family ski piste, the Muttereralm FIS slope, the expert Pfriemeskopfl slopes, the Dieter Bartsch race course and another long family piste to Gotzens. There is also nursery run - Almboden.
The Austrian village of Mutters has direct access to six runs, accessed by 3 lifts, which are able to uplift 5000 persons per hour.
Mutters Transportation
The nearest airport is this in Innsbruck, only eight kilometers away from where one can get a bus or taxi to Mutters.
By train one can get to Innsbruck main train station, there is a change to the Stubaitalbahn tram to Mutters train station.
