
This gorgeous town lies in the most north-western part of Tyrol. Reutte is situated at 854 meters elevation near Riverside, Ski-In/Ski-Out, by a mountain, Lakeside and has around 6100 Inhabitants.
Reutte, which is in a large basin in the Lech valley is the major town of the Ausserfern district, to the north of the Fernpass, and an important traffic junction between Füssen and Pfronten in Germany, the Fernpass, the upper Lech valley, including Hochtannberg Pass and Flexen Road, and the Tannheimer Tal - Oberjoch and Gaicht Pass.
Reutte features some charming 18th Century burghers' houses with beautifully painted facades, gables and oriel windows (such as the Zeillerhaus in the Untermarkt). The 17th Century parish church in the Breitenwang district has some fascinating ceiling painting and Baroque relief medallions of the Dance of Death in the mortuary chapel. The local museum is also a worth visit if coming around.
The area has unique mountain landscapes, crystal lakes, absolutely unspoiled nature and genuine hospitality - simply, a great resort for a relaxing vacation.
In winter the ski lift from the town will take one right up to the family friendly Hahnenkamm ski area. The ski pass entitles one to use of eighty ski lifts.

The nearest airports are these in Innsbruck – 100 kilometers and Munich - 200km.
By car one can get here using A7 motorway from Stuttgart - Ulm - Kempten - through the Füssen/Vils tunnel - exit Reutte Nord - Reutte. You will pass the towns of Pinswang, Musau and Pflach on the way to Reutte. Breitenwang and Ehenbichl border on Reutte. Also from Munich along the A95 road to Garmisch - Garmisch - Ehrwald - Lermoos –Reutte; and from Innsbruck and/or Arlberg - Fernpaß – Reutte.
